Earnest Ambrose Wehr, 79, of Cabot died Monday, October 7, 2013. He was born November 4, 1933 in Sigourney, Iowa to the late Walter and Leona Webber Wehr. Earnest was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Korean War and he was of the Catholic faith. He loved his children and supported them in all their activities. Earnest loved ice cream and sweet tea, had a wonderful sense of humor and was a great salesman.
He is survived by his wife, Mireya Rosales Wehr of Lake Forest, California; his children, Kathleen House and her husband, Buddy of Little Rock, Frank Castro-Wehr and his wife, Dyann of Nevada City, California, Deaconess Colleen Caldwell and her husband, Kelly of Cabot, Maureen Wehr and William Shaver of Marco Island, Florida, Michael Wehr and his wife, Florence of St. Charles, Missouri, Patrick Wehr and his wife, Michelle of Frankfort, Illinois, Megan Pruett and her husband, Steven of Bakersfield, California; his step-children, Brett Lopez of Australia and Talia Lopez of Lake Forrest, California; siblings, Alvin Wehr and his wife, Mona of Austin, Texas, Linda French and her husband, Jim of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, and Cecil Wehr and his wife, Kay of Lawrence, Kansas; fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and the mother of his children, Joan Alice Hoyne Wehr.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Christ United Methodist Church, 15361 Hwy. 5 in Cabot, with Pastor Jeffery Warrick officiating.
