Albert Woodrow Merrow, 75, of Austin, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 31, 2024. Albert proudly served in the United States Air Force from March 1969 to November 1986, serving in Vietnam and Thailand from November 1972 to November 1973. He flew as a loadmaster on C-141 and C-130 aircraft, finishing his career as a Technical Sergeant at Little Rock Air Force Base with over 6,000 flying hours.

Albert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda; one daughter, Melissa Davenport and husband Greg; one son, Steve and wife Sandi; five grandchildren, Annie Crandall and husband Phillip; Taylor Woodfield and husband Landon; Andrew Merrow and wife Hannah; Claire Davenport and McKayla Merrow; four great-grandchildren, Kyle Crandall, Lily Crandall, Landry Woodfield and Alexis Woodfield; four sisters, Sue Renshaw, Becky Smith, Lottie Tidwell and Rachel Jacobs; four brothers, Robert Merrow, Lonnie Merrow, Royce Merrow and Ivey Merrow and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Duncan and Vandella Merrow; three brothers, Ray, Earl and George and one sister, Mary Cathey.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2024 at Country Chapel, 3000 Hwy 321 N in Ward. Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock.
