Amos Terry
Hall
Nov 14, 1941 — Aug 13, 2021
Amos Terry Hall, 79, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, passed away peacefully Friday, August 13, 2021 at the home of Donald and Kay Hall in Cabot, Arkansas. He was born November 14, 1941 in Dyess Colony, Arkansas to the late Amos Lee and Lillian Cornelius Martin Hall.
He was best known as Terry, "T. Hall", or Lieutenant A.T. Hall of Scottsbluff Police Department in Nebraska, where he first retired after thirty years of service to the community. He drove a truck for Aulick during sugar beet re-haul seasonally, which opened the opportunity to an over-the-road trucking job allowing him to see most of the United States. Terry then went on to become a conductor for Union Pacific Railroad and served in that capacity for fifteen years. Terry loved his family and enjoyed every minute they spent together. He was an example of gentle masculinity and a fatherly presence in the lives of the numerous people who loved him dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Johnson and brothers, Lester, Jerry and Ronnie Hall.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Matthew Hall; grandsons, Emmett and Owen Hall of Erie, Colorado; sister, Barbara Tarnowski and brother, David Hall, both of Mabelvale, Arkansas, and brothers Donald and Bobby Hall of Cabot, Arkansas. He was married forty-nine years to Patricia Foster Hall of Jennings Kansas, they divorced in 2015, but remained good friends. He also had many nieces and nephews who will miss him greatly.
Arrangements made by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 510-843-5816. In lieu of flowers, contributions to his grandchildren's 529 education funds would be accepted with utmost gratitude at
