Artie Fay Vann, 96, of Cabot, passed away peacefully at her home on April 13, 2026. She was born on August 4, 1929, in the Jacksonville community to the late Hoyle and Vergie Fortson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Faber Vann; her brother, Vernon Fortson; and her son, Ronnie Vann. Artie had a deep love for cooking, baking, canning, and gardening. She especially cherished time spent with her family and found great joy in teaching her children and grandchildren how to cook and bake. She was known for her strong work ethic and will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Michael Vann, David (Kimberly) Vann, and Timothy (Darla) Vann; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. and the funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026 in the chapel of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at Sumner Cemetery.
