Awana Vernonne Lightfoot Dye, 75, of Austin, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022.  She was born October 13, 1946 in Searcy to the late William David and Arene Delois Armstrong Lightfoot.  Awana graduated from Cabot High School, received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Central Arkansas, a Master's degree from Texas Women's University, and a Law degree from UALR.  After receiving her law degree, she practiced law in the Austin area for many years.  She enjoyed animals and reading and was an avid Sudoku fan.  In addition to her parents, Awana was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Dye.

She is survived by her sister, Donna Lightfoot of Austin, many cousins, extended family members and friends.
