Barbara Ellen Mattocks, 72, of Cabot, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025. She was born October 6, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Cleo and Ella Bailey Smith. Barbara spent forty-five years married to the love of her life, Roy. They met at Little Rock Air Force Base where she was a hostess for weddings and receptions. When they married on March 18, 1980, he had three teenagers and she had three daughters, so they began life together with a full house. She loved to travel and was very excited about her trips to Scotland, England and Ireland. During her career as an event planner/wedding coordinator, Barbara was privileged to serve some famous personalities, such as the Bill Clinton family and Sam Walton's family during some of the Walmart banquets. At one time she worked at the Excelsior Hotel and was captain over the dining room. Her many interests included working in the yard, redecorating and renovating the home, shopping and animals. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracy O'Conner; son, Roy Mattocks, Jr. and sisters, Pamela Smith, Edna Miller
and Dorothy Trustle.

Left to cherish her memory and to miss her dearly are her husband of forty-five years, Roy; daughters, Karrie O'Conner and Audrey Christine Bibbs (Michael); step-children, James Mattocks (Lorrie) and Melinda Davis (Michael); eleven grandchildren, Alexis "Lexi" Bibbs, Emma Bibbs, Sarah Ainsley Mattocks, Ethan Mattocks, Dustin Davis, Jamie Davis, Jillian Schisler, Dalton Schisler, Jacob Evans, D.J. Evans and Jorie Hamm; a host of great-grandchildren, extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with interment to follow at Sixteenth Section Cemetery. Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
