Barbara Lynn Sipes, 90, of Vilonia, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023. She was born April 20, 1933 in Galveston, Texas to the late John R. and Martha Reynolds Marschall. Barbara attended Ursuline Academy in Galveston and then nursing school.  Her career as a registered nurse spanned forty-five years with most of those years at UAMS maternity ward where she brought many new lives into this world while raising four of her own. Barbara was fond of arts and crafts. Some of her favorite hobbies were sculpting, painting, pottery, needlepoint and making dollhouses. She loved beaches, fishing and crabbing and always had at least one dog. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin T. Sipes and sister, Martha Ray Marschall Hill.

She leaves behind four sons, Louis Brooks of Waynesboro, Virginia, Marschall Brooks of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Raymond Brooks (Debra) of Lonoke, Arkansas and Kirk Brooks (Laurel) of Aurora, Colorado; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Aaron and Holly; brother, John R. Marschall, Jr. (Sine) of Santa Fe, Texas, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
