Beatrice Moreland, 83, of Austin, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024.  She was born March 24, 1941 in Conway to the late E. L. (Leonard) and Ida Martin Brannon. Beatrice had a beautiful singing voice and as a young teen she even sang on a local radio station. She enjoyed country music and Elvis's gospel.  You could hear her singing or humming, even when she was in the kitchen mixing up some of her tremendously delicious dishes, like chicken and dumplings or "holy" cake.  Beatrice was a hard worker and instilled that work ethic in her children. She enjoyed collecting crystal bells and cookbooks, and she loved roses.  She grew a beautiful "running rose" that grew as tall as the house.  Her favorite holiday was Christmas, and any opportunity to celebrate with her family brought joy to her heart.  In addition to her parents, Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, M. L. (Marvin) Moreland; grandson, Richard Moreland; sisters, Sandra York, Kim O'Donnell, and Sue Labadie, and step-children, Raymond "Butch" Moreland and Russell Moreland.

Those left to cherish her memory and to miss her dearly are her children, Sharon Worsham (Randy), Gary Moreland (Melinda), Michael Moreland; step-children, Diann Huddleston, Charles Moreland (Linda), Garry Lee Moreland (Sheila); bonus children, Curtis Shock and Pam Rakes; ten grandchildren, Larry Huddleston, Jr., Kimberly Russell, Charles Huddleston, Michelle Huddleston, Joshua Moreland, Matthew Worsham, Jared Worsham, Jacob Austin Moreland, Alecia Davenport and Brenda Rose Moreland; a legacy of great-grandchildren; sister Linda Fisher, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Old Austin Cemetery.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
