Obituary

Betty Ann Loyd, 73, of Jacksonville, passed away hand in hand with her grandchildren Ethyn Loyd & Keirra Huntley on Saturday, July 29, 2023. She was born July 28, 1950 in Little Rock to LeRoy Turney and Ester Ida Mae Dyson Turney.  Betty was a strong, loving, giving woman with a heart of gold.  She was outgoing, would talk to anyone and she never met a stranger.  Betty was a long-standing member of BPOE Elks Lodge 1004.  She enjoyed gardening, especially tomatoes, fishing, birds, being outside and traveling.  One of her favorite pastimes was shopping.  She was always looking for a sale.  Betty loved her partner, Dee, her kids, her grandkids, and her sweet dog, Baby Girl.

Left to cherish her memory and to miss her dearly are her children, Jerry Loyd (Kim), Melissa Loyd and Monica Loyd (Jennifer); grandchildren, Braxton Loyd, Lauren Melendez (Juan), Ashton Woodall, Haley Woodall, Dalton Owens, Noah Loyd, Serenity Woodall and Bentley Loyd; sister, Phyllis Conrad (Mike); brother, Leland Turney (Barbara); childhood sweetheart and life partner whom she reconnected with years ago, Dee Doak, as well as many extended family members and friends.
