Bill Lloyd William Mullins III, 52, of Ward, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2020. He was born March 14, 1968 in Wichita, Kansas to Lloyd William Mullins, Jr. and Phyllis Evans Mullins. When Bill was growing up, two of his favorite things were Easter and vacations in Arkansas. He enjoyed cooking holiday meals, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. He loved a good cook-out on the grill any time family was close and especially attending events for Turi and Evan. He enjoyed all sports, but probably baseball and golf the best. Bill loved to fish, but rarely had the chance. He also enjoyed reading, working in the woodshop and in the yard.
Bill obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Wichita State University, Master's Degree in Education from Jones Internationals University and his Education Specialist Degree from Harding University. He was a life-long educator starting out as a high school math teacher and ending as a superintendent of schools. During the years between his first teaching job and his death, he provided professional development and consulting for teachers and administrators. His passion was education. Bill always put others before himself, always ate last and loved his family more than anything, especially his kids. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Evans Mullins.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jennifer Mullins; daughter, Turi (Steven) Branson; son, Evan (Katey) Mullins; grandchildren, Cooper Mullins, Aribella Branson and Scarlett Mullins (coming October 2020); parents, Lloyd and Kathy Mullins; siblings, Phillip Mullins, Dennis Mullins and Dawniel Armstrong. Bill will be dearly missed by his entire family as well as the many lives he influenced over his years as an educator.
