Billie Sue Oliver, 79, of Ward, passed away October 4, 2022.  She was born August 7, 1943 in Saint Louis, Missouri.  Billie Sue was a pioneer for women in her occupation as an Air Worthiness Engineer for Falcon Jet.  Her strength, knowledge and determination opened doors for other women to enter the industry.  She enjoyed nature, the outdoors and gardening.  Billie Sue was also fond of crafting, sewing and was very artistic.  Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family and friends.  Billie Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn "Dib" Evett and Mildred (Raines) Evett; sister, Judy Russell and nephew, Jesse Hice.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Deena Corley, Sheri Little (Danny) and Michael "Mick" Sternisha (Kim); three grandchildren, Jennifer Massa, Rachel Sternisha and Anna Marie Sternisha; two great-grandchildren, Taelor Bilon and Makenzie Massa; sisters, Shirley Evett and Kay Van Winkle, as well as many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
