Bobby Lynn
Phillips
Feb 3, 1960 — Sep 13, 2025
Bobby Lynn Phillips, age 65, of Ward, Arkansas, departed this life on September 13, 2025, beginning his journey to Heaven.
Bobby was born February 3, 1960, in Grand Prairie, Texas, to Bobby Ray and Mary Phillips. He graduated from Texarkana High School in 1979 and later dedicated many years of service as a housekeeper to Cabot Public Schools and Arkansas State University–Beebe, retiring in 2018.
A man who found joy in life's simple pleasures, Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing, visiting with family and friends, and watching westerns on television. In his younger years, he was even known to ride a horse or two. Those who knew him will fondly recall his warm smile, firm handshake, and friendly pats on the shoulder as well as his words of encouragement, "I love you brother (sister)."
Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Ray Phillips; his mother, Mary Phillips; his brother, Steve Ramey; and his sister, Misty Kilcrease.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kathy Phillips; his daughter, Kaitlyn Phillips; his sisters, Frances Moon (Reggie) of Grand Prairie, TX, Karen Dillehay of Longview, TX, and Michelle Edwards of Hope, AR; his brothers, Ron Phillips of Colorado Springs, CO, and Chris Kilcrease of Buckner, AR. He is also survived by his father- and mother-in-law, Don and Shirley Patterson; sister-in-law Donna Anspaugh (Marc); brother-in-law Scott Patterson (Laura); along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Family and friends are invited to a gathering to celebrate Bobby's life on Saturday, September 27, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Cabot Church of Christ, 500 N 2nd Street, Cabot, AR.
The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful nurses and doctors who cared so kindly for Bobby—especially Ms. Adasia Garringer, our kind-hearted angel sent to us by God. Her compassion will always be cherished.
Bobby will be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, and the way he made everyone feel welcome.
