Bobbye Katherine Busick Griffin passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at her home in Austin, Arkansas, surrounded by family members. Bobbye was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was ninety-three years old. Bobbye was born October 18, 1932 in Beebe, Arkansas to the late Claude and Mattie Busick. She worked for Southwestern Bell and AT&T in construction. She retired with twenty years of service.
When Bobbye was seventeen, she met J.C. Griffin, the love of her life, at a skating rink. Two years later she married him. They were married for seventy years.
Bobbye attended Mount Carmel Baptist Church and was a devoted Christian. She attended church services every Sunday her whole life. She gave generously to several charities and was known to everyone as a kind and gentle soul who would do anything for anyone. Bobbye had a remarkable ability to bring joy and tenderness to everyone she encountered.
Our family wishes to thank Eddie Griffin for his work in pulling things together. We would also like to extend a very special thank you for Bobbye’s live-in caregiver, Cathy Moulder. Without you, we honestly don’t know what we would have done.
In addition to her parents, Bobbye was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Griffin. Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Marsh of Cabot and Connie McDaniel of Beebe; grandsons, Clinton Boullie of Beebe and Cliff Marsh of Cabot; great-grandson, J. C. Marsh of Cabot; brother, Charles Busick (Carolyn) of Searcy; cousin, Marianne Bennett of Mayflower; Bobbye’s best friend, Bobbie Potts of Cabot and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider giving a donation to Franklin Graham’s “Samaritan’s Purse” at PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607 or online at www.samaritanspurse.org/our-ministry/donate-online/
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2026 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church with interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the church. Arrangements by Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
