Brenda Kay Timmons, 73, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away April 12, 2024. She was born in Jacksonville, Arkansas on February 6, 1951 to the late Albert and Catherine Gertsch.

Brenda's father immigrated from Switzerland before she was born. She was the youngest of a large family of siblings. As adults, she and her sisters enjoyed long drives together to sightsee and enjoy the beauty of Arkansas.

Brenda served the State of Arkansas for 28 years as an employee of the Arkansas Department of Human Services.

Brenda's sons will remember her for how much she sacrificed for them to give them the best life she could. Her son, Jason, will always appreciate her for her unfailing encouragement and telling him that he could do anything he sets his mind to.

Brenda had a deep love for all animals but especially dogs. She also enjoyed working with her hands and crafting, and she was talented at creating beaded jewelry. She was known for her spaghetti sauce, which made the most delicious spaghetti and lasagna. Friends and family remember her for being a good and compassionate listener.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Marie Powell, Alfred Gertsch, Lucille Stone, and Alice Simpson; and beloved aunts Bertha Schmidt and Emma Summerall.

She is survived by her sons, Jason Timmons (Leah) and Shane Timmons; granddaughter, Allison Timmons; sister, B. Ann Busterud; niece, Tina, Weatherly; and other nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cabot, Arkansas.
