Cathy Loretta Sullivan Ellis, 68, of Waldron, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025.  She was born April 27, 1956 in Lonoke to the late George and Agnes JoAnn James Sullivan.  Cathy was a licensed practical nurse and spent her life doing what she was sent to this earth for, taking care of others.  She was a longtime member of Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Waldron, Arkansas, where she was very active. Early in her life while working as a CNA, she decided that she should go back to school and become an LPN, which she did. It was one of the proudest days of her life when she graduated and received her nursing license. She was a loving and caring person, and her career allowed her to use and develop these traits. She loved to have fun. She enjoyed being silly and having people be silly with her. She could take a joke as well as she could play them. She loved to cook (and bake!); she and her Mom spent many hours making and selling peanut brittle for their church and she loved to take road trips (especially with her Momma). She loved amusement parks and boat rides. But what she loved most was family, and spending time with them. In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Sullivan; nephew, Jeremy Sullivan and grand-nephew, Tyler Sullivan.

Survivors include her brother, James Sullivan (Kathryn) and sister, Phyllis Vitulli (Mark); nieces, Maggie, Katie, and Danielle; nephews, Shawn, Chris, and Cody; grand-nieces, Destinee, Angel, Diamiana, Kailyn, Molly, Zoe, Sutton, Theodora, and Mila; grand-nephews, Brittin, Corbin, and Max, as well as many, many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Lonoke Apostolic Church with interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 24, 2025 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
