Obituary

Charles Lindbergh George, Jr., passed away peacefully and surrounded by family June 5, 2021. He was 69 years old.  Charles was born June 29, 1951 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Charles Sr. and Rose George. He moved to Cabot when he was a young boy and attended Cabot Public Schools.

A two-sport athlete, Charles lettered in football and basketball.  He was a member of the National Honor Society, "C" Club, and Future Business Leaders of America, and he was chosen as a delegate to Boys' State and Who's Who.

After graduating from Cabot High School, Charles attended the University of Central Arkansas, majoring in history. He used his history degree to return to Cabot High as a teacher.  He was very popular with his students and enjoyed his time in the classroom.

Charles left teaching to enter the lumber business with his father. From there a life of entrepreneurship ensued. His business ventures ranged from construction contracting and developing to farming, real estate, golf and tourism. He was instrumental in the development of Greystone Golf Community in Cabot.  In addition to making his mark on the Cabot landscape, he spent many years in Conway, where he was known and well-loved throughout the community.

He loved live music, watching sports, travel and meeting new people. He treasured his family and his many friends.  Charles loved his children beyond measure, and they were the source of his greatest pride.
