Chevy Olds, 68, of Cabot, passed away Friday, August 7, 2026. He was born Friday, June 13, 1958 in Flint, Michigan to the late Leonard and Sarah Ervin Olds. Chevy graduated from Millington High School and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked in logistics and warehousing. Chevy was known and loved by many in the softball communities in central Arkansas. He played, coached and officiated for more than thirty years before hanging up his glove. However, he could never completely give up the life he loved so much, so he found other ways to be involved at the ballfields. He became a vendor at the same fields he loved to play on. He loved sports, especially the Arkansas Razorbacks. His greatest joy came from taking care of his family and his friends. Chevy also enjoyed his weekly poker games with friends, dancing and generally socializing with just about everyone. He was a wonderful, thoughtful, loving husband, father and step-father. Chevy was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Teer Olds; his children, Sarah Olds and her fiancé, Trent Rigdon, Heather Henson, Mary Katherine “Kat” Johnson and her husband, David, Adam Rowe and his wife, Cara; his siblings, Tim Olds, Lloyd Olds, Dan Olds and Scott Olds; eight grandchildren, his beloved dogs, Harley and Dobby, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2026 at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home. The family suggests donations be made to the Chevy Olds Memorial at DuPree Park, organized by Van Alexander, Jr., gofund.me. Arrangements by Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
