Christa Sieglinde Massanet, 85, of Cabot, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2026.  She was born December 25, 1940 in Katzwang-Nürnberg, Germany to the late Robert and Barbara Schriber Popp. Christa and Freddy met on Pentecost Day in 1962 and married November 9, 1963 in Germany. After coming back to the United States, she worked hard and obtained her United States citizenship in 1965. Christa was a faithful Army wife for seventeen years until Freddy's retirement. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and she meant so much to so many people. Christa found great joy in taking care of people, especially on birthdays and holidays. She was a member of Belmont Chapel in Vilonia. In addition to her parents, Christa was preceded in death by her son, Larry Massanet and sister, Berta Wildt.

Those left to cherish her memory and to miss her dearly are her husband of sixty-two years, Freddy Massanet, Sr.; her son, Freddy Massanet, Jr. (Terri); daughter-in-law, Hila Massanet; grandson, Justin Massanet; great-granddaughter, Jesslyn Conrad and numerous extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Wooley officiating. Interment will follow at Cypress Valley Cemetery in Vilonia.
