Christine "Christy" Skinner, 40, of Cabot, suddenly went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, February 15, 2024.  She was born February 19, 1983 in St. Louis, Missouri to Janis Viehland Maness and the late Michael G. Maness. She was a bright student and learned to read at the age of four years old.  She attended the gifted and talented program in Pulaski County and graduated from Mills Senior High in 2001.  Christy attended the University of Central Arkansas on an ACT Presidential Scholarship.  She graduated from UCA in 2005 and attended the RN program at Baptist Medical Center.  After working as an ICU nurse for many years, she returned to get her Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy at Harding University, graduating in 2019 with high honors.

Christy accepted Jesus as a child and was a born-again believer.  She attended church at McArthur Assembly.  Christy went on mission trips to Panama and New Orleans.  She was active in the JBQ program encouraging children to memorize scripture.  Christy loved attending Razorback games, watching "Friends", traveling and spending time with her family.  She was the mother of five children, Lakin Shaw, Dylan Skinner-Mavity, Kameron, Joseph and Kamelia Skinner.  Christy was a wonderful wife, mother and beloved "Gramma" to her only grandchild, Dorian Skinner.

Christy leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, John Skinner; children, Kameron, Joseph, Kamelia, Lakin and Dylan; her mother, Jan Maness; brother, Sean Maness (Cheryl); one grandchild, Dorian Skinner and many family members and friends who loved Christy and will greatly miss her.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2024 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2024 at McArthur Assembly of God Church with interment to follow at Sylvania Cemetery.
