Deborah L. Dodson, 74, of Cabot, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023.  She was born April 15, 1949 in Little Rock to the late Lamar and Constance Dodson.  Debbie grew up in Cabot and graduated from Cabot High School.  Debbie earned her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Hendrix College.  She had an art studio in Cabot where she taught children, teens and adults about art.  She enjoyed sharing her talent with others and did so through her drawing, painting, sculpting and her knowledge of art history.  She loved art, music and architecture.  Debbie was very close to her grandmother, Genevieve (Gensie).  In Gensie's later years, Debbie worked daily to care for her grandmother.  Through Debbie's love and devotion, Gensie was able to remain in her own home until her death in 1996.

Survivors include her brother, Brent Dodson; sister, Jo Claire Dodson, as well as many students, extended family members and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations in Deborah's memory are suggested to your charity of choice.
