Donald Nelson Harrison, age 81, of Austin, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021. Don was born November 9, 1940, in Little Rock, to the late Virgil Henry and Jessie Mae (Norsworthy) Harrison.  Don (Pop) was a generous, loving, and service-oriented man who volunteered his time at church, gave to various charities, and enjoyed doing special things for his family, whom he loved dearly. He was a longtime member and deacon of First Baptist Church Cabot where he served on many committees and greeted folks in the commons on Sunday mornings with a handshake, a smile, and the occasional peppermint Lifesaver.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served as president of the Jacksonville Jaycees in the 1970's.  During his career, Don owned TempControl in North Little Rock, AR, Harrison TrueValue Hardware in Cabot, AR, and retired from the Carrier Corporation where he worked as a regional sales manager. Don was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Myra Sue McKay.

Don is survived by his wife of 60 years, Cynthia "Cindy" Cooper Harrison; his son, Michael (Melody) Harrison; two granddaughters, Myka Paige (Stephen) Brasher and Leah Celeste (Colby) Ferguson.
