Dovie Archer Johnson, 90, of Cabot, passed away at home Thursday, March 20, 2025. She was born October 3, 1934 to James and Mary Archer in England, Arkansas. Dovie was a devoted spouse, sister, aunt, parent, grandparent and great-grandparent.  She was a longtime member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot. Dovie enjoyed working with her hands, either sewing, crocheting or gardening. Her yard was always lovely and throughout the 50's, 60's and 70's, she made all of her clothes from scratch and always had a new outfit or two under construction.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, JL (Sonny) Johnson and her brother, Sam.

She is survived by her sister, Peggy and her children; sister-in-law, Jane Archer and two sons she raised as her own, Ray (Terry) Stafford of North Little Rock and Gary (Sandy) Stafford of Wellington, Florida; five grandchildren and spouses and ten great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cabot. There will be a visitation at the funeral home 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. prior to the service.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
