Doyce Earl Shurley, 77, of Cabot, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020.  He was born March 31, 1943 in Cabot to the late Clayton S. and Jeffie (Eddy) Shurley.  Doyce was raised and stayed in Cabot all his life.  He served his country in the United States Army.  Doyce was known for being hard-working and companies such as Vertac Chemical Company, American Freightways and FedEx were benefited by his work ethic.  He loved his coffee, going to the lake and riding horses, but more importantly, he loved his family, kids and grandkids.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Jody Shurley Cannon and Kim Shurley (Phillip) May; grandchildren, Lexy and Lindsey Cannon, William, Natalie, Gary and Ashley May; sisters, Lavone Conard, Gail (Phil) Hames and Faye (George) Lee; brothers, Clayton "Jr." (Jorene) Shurley, Jerry (Kathy) Shurley and Billy Shurley and many more extended family members.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 17, 2020 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to all the nurses and staff at Greystone Nursing Center for all their love, support and care for Doyce.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
