Edith Lia Harris, 89, of Cabot, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025. She was born March 28, 1936 in Bremen, Germany to the late Dietrich and Martha Kolling Röpke. She and her family survived World War II and on February 13, 1958 she married a young United States airman named Henry "Hank" W. Harris, Jr. Hank moved her to the United States in 1959 and she became a United States citizen in 1964. She enjoyed traveling with Hank throughout his Air Force career and eventually settled in Cabot. Edith was a stay-at-home mother until her children were grown, at which time she began her career at the Base Exchange on Little Rock Air Force Base. She retired as the BX Manager after over 20 years of service. Edith was an active member of Mt Pleasant Baptist Church. She loved her church and her church family and she was well loved by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Henry "Hank" Woodson Harris, Jr; son-in-law, Russell Dorsey II; great-grandson, Hunter Williams and all of her brothers and sisters.

Edith is survived by her daughters, Sylvia Bryant (Tom) of Cabot, Debbie Hodges (Ottis) of Beebe and Barbara Dorsey of Conway; seven grandchildren, Keith Bryant (Melissa), Sarah Rye (Trey), Joshua Bryant (Ariel), Ashley Williams (Clint), Adam Hodges (Megan), Russell Dorsey III (Hannah) and Travis Dorsey (Savanah), as well as twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church in Cabot. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Dennis Wilson officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt Pleasant Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in memory of Edith Harris to Mt Pleasant Baptist Church.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
