Obituary

Edna "Flo" Krug died peacefully in her sleep at her son's home in Fayetteville, Arkansas on July 28, 2025. She was 92. Flo was born February 17, 1933 to Albert and Monnie Strother of the Hutchinson Mountain community. She was the middle of their seven children. Monnie worked hard, as did her children, to live after her husband died in 1941.

Flo graduated from Southside High School in 1951. In 1954, she graduated as a Registered Nurse from St. Vincent Infirmary School of Nursing in Little Rock.  She worked as a nurse at Fort Roots VA in North Little Rock and Gray's Hospital and for several doctors in Batesville.

In 1965, she married John Krug from Cabot, Arkansas and they had one son, John Krug, Jr., in 1966. They lived in Little Rock until their son was about to start school, when they decided they wanted to move back to Hutchinson Mountain to be around family and have a more peaceful life. They both enjoyed working, side by side, to improve their house and land.

Her greatest joys in life were her son and grandchildren, Jourdan and Adam.

Flo was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 2013; her mom and dad; her six siblings, Nellie Gay, Bob Strother, Irene Stevens, Stella Roberts, Donald Strother and June Bailey and her husband's brother-in-law, Bob Nevin.

In addition to her son and grandchildren, Flo is also survived by her sister-in-law, Lea Nevin; brothers-in-law, Larry Krug and his wife Martha and Ray Bailey; children and grandchildren of those previously mentioned as well as countless friends.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
