Obituary

Flora Madalene Miller, 89, of Cabot passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026. She was born May 8, 1937 in Little Rock to the late John Tilman and Flora Curtis McCuin. Madalene was a 1955 graduate of Central High School in Little Rock. She and Chester met on October 31, 1958 while cruising the streets of Little Rock in a convertible. They were engaged during the Christmas season and were married in June of 1959. Mrs. Miller was a devoted Air Force wife who supported her husband in every endeavor. Madalene was a lifelong follower of Christ. The Millers were a faithful Christian family and Madalene served as a Sunday School teacher, a member of the choir and committed member of Vacation Bible School in all the churches they attended throughout her life. She was a member of Cedar Lane Church of the Nazarene in Little Rock and later a member of Russell Chapel Church of the Nazarene in Cabot. She was a daily Bible reader and spent time every day in prayer. She and Chester ensured their children were involved in church activities as well. Madalene was a talented seamstress and made dresses for Candy and suits for Chip and Keith. She was a big fan of QVC, Christmas decorations and Hallmark movies but her greatest joy was her faith and then her family. She supported her husband and their children, raising and training them even during the difficult times of Chester's deployments and assignments when they were apart. Later, she and Chester attended countless events of their grandchildren, supporting each one in every endeavor. Madalene was selfless, putting everyone else first; devoted to her faith, her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Nelson Miller, Jr.; sister, Movalene Harper and her husband, Bill; her brother, Jack McCuin; sister-in-law, Fanchon Barron and her beloved dog, Zoe.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her children, Chester "Chip" Miller (Janet) of Conway, Candy Williams (Steve) of Cabot and Keith Miller of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Cody Keene (Sara) of Cecil, Cory Keene of Fayetteville, Jenna Turney and Adison Turney, both of Cabot and Christopher Erwin of Conway; great grandchildren, Flynn and Emory Keene; a sister-in-law, Agnes McCuin of Sherwood and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mrs. Miller will be from 6:00 to 8;00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2026 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Russell Chapel Church of the Nazarene with burial following at Mount Carmel Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home.
