Floyd Wilzie Bowen, 97, of Cabot, peacefully passed away Saturday December 7, 2024, at the VA Hospital in Little Rock. He was born March 30, 1927 in Huntsville, Alabama to the late Henry Porter and Sarah Presley Bowen. He was a WWII Veteran and served his country in both the United States Army and Navy. He loved being outdoors and being busy, whether it was fixing things that weren't broken, fishing, hunting or riding on his lawnmower (sometimes just to be outside). He was a tinkerer and did not believe in the saying "if it's not broke don't fix it". He loved gardening and planting his tulips. He did not ever meet a stranger. He loved children and they loved him. Wherever he was they would just flock to him. He was every child's pawpaw. His love for his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandson was unmatched and had zero boundaries. He spoiled each of them. They all love him fiercely. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and eleven brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Jo Ann Bowen; one daughter, Delia Smolik (Dale); three grandchildren, Amber Moss (Shawn), Courtney Jackson (Joey Lovercheck) and Brian Bogle; five great grandchildren, Dymond Jackson (Chris Odom), Taylor Moss, Coy Lovercheck, Shaylynn Jackson, Daylee Lovercheck; great-great grandson, River Odom, all of Cabot as well as one sister; Corene Webster of Battle Creek, Michigan.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2024 at the funeral home.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
