It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gary "Kevin" Davis, a devoted servant of God, who left this world on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was 54 years old and resided in Cabot. He spent his career working for Fed Ex Freight and proudly served on the Cabot City Council for ten years. Kevin was not only a beloved family member and friend, but also a beacon of hope and compassion to many.
Kevin was born to Gary Edison Davis and Carol Keith Davis (Hisaw) on September 2, 1970, in Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his brother, Scotty Davis. He is survived by his wife, Karen; his daughter, Grace; his father, Gary Davis; his mother, Carol Hisaw; his niece, Taylor Davis; and many other family and friends around the world.
Throughout his life, Kevin demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his faith and deep passion for mission work. His journeys to Jamaica, Europe, and India were not merely trips; they were profound expressions of his dedication to serving others and spreading the love of Christ. In addition to his mission work, Kevin dedicated himself to the healing ministry, believing firmly in the power of prayer and the transformative grace of God. He was a source of comfort and inspiration to countless individuals, offering guidance and support through life's challenges. Kevin had an unparalleled love for the Scriptures, often finding solace and wisdom in its pages.
A cherished leader of the New Wine Ecclesia, Kevin loved its members deeply. He nurtured a warm, inclusive environment where everyone was valued and encouraged to grow in their faith. Kevin leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and unwavering faith. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who were touched by his kindness and commitment to the mission of Christ.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 21, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in Beebe. The family requests donations to Prepare International (prepareinternational.org) to continue Kevin's mission work in the communities he cherished.
