Geneva Sue Bynum, 78, of Cabot, went to be with Jesus on Monday, January 1, 2024.  She was born May 19, 1945 in Cabot to the late Bill and Mary Staggs Mahoney.  Geneva retired from Remington Arms after a thirty year career.  She was a lifelong member of Russell Chapel Church of the Nazarene in Cabot.  Geneva had a love for jewelry, clothes, reading, watching westerns and most especially traveling with her late husband, William, and their fur babies.  In addition to her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by her devoted and beloved husband of fifty-seven years, William Bynum, and her great-grandson, Wyatt Sloan.

Left to cherish her memory and to miss her dearly are her daughters, Tina Strickland-Dove (Richard) and Robin Wilson (Jerry); five grandchildren, Laura Gray (Michael), Jennifer Sloan (Tanner), Jessica Starr (Chad), Crystal Vandekerkhove (Tyler) and Tyler Wilson; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Patsy Taylor, Bobby Mahoney (Jamie), Irene White (James), Peggie Zumalt (Steve), Tommy Mahoney and Betty Rowe, a host of nieces and nephews to whom she was known as Aunt Nina, as well numerous extended family members and lifelong friends.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Russell Chapel Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Greg Armstrong officiating.  Interment will follow at King Cemetery in Cabot.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
