Gerald Anthony Stanley, Sr., 69, of Jacksonville, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022.  He was born July 25, 1953 in Port Angeles, Washington to the late Robert Benson and Betty Ruth Kincade Stanley.  Dad, A.K.A. Pops, loved many things. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, playing card games, board games, friends, kids, grand kids, and living life.  He enjoyed being with people and hanging out with his pets. He even took care of neighborhood raccoons, squirrels, and deer. He was always a helper. Friend or stranger, he loved helping folks with whatever they needed. Gerald loved holidays and birthdays. He was never short on advice and stories of all sorts. He was active and loved to go on adventures until he wasn't able to due to his decline in health. Gerald claimed Jesus as his savior and was saved. The Bible says when you are saved, to be absent in life is to be present with Jesus. He knew before his death that he was going to heaven and is with Jesus now. He's reunited with loved ones that have gone before him. He has no more pain or sorrow. We will meet with him again one day. We love you dad, you will be missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Susan Elliott and Sinda Weekley and a brother, Bo Stanley.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Scott Stanley (Kristy) and Tony Stanley (Amber); grandchildren, Wes, Josh, Kendall, Bree, Harbor, Finn and Ronan; sisters, Karen Ekrut and Betty Hardin; brother, Bobby Stanley, as well as many extended family members and friends.
