Glenda "Sue" Childress, 78, of Cabot, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026. She was born May 14, 1948 in Cabot to the late Thelmer Henry and Corene Mildred Cox Snead. Sue was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Jacksonville for many years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was dedicated to her family. Sue was very selfless and always cared more about others than herself. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lyon Davis Childress; son, Keith Childress; grandson, Logan Shahan and all five of her siblings.

Those left to cherish her memory and to miss her dearly are her children, Shannon Burchfield (Greg), Randy Ellison (Cheryl), Johnny Childress (Linda) and Tammy Ward (Randy); nineteen grandchildren as well as numerous great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 29, 2026 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday, June 28, 2026 at the funeral home. Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
