Glynda Francis Davenport, 85, of Cabot passed from this life January 1, 2026. She was born January 12, 1940 in Little Rock to the late Glenn Henry and Francis Celestial Gateley. Glynda was a homemaker who loved and cherished her family. She loved fishing on Lake Nimrod, deer hunting, gardening and mowing her grass as no one else could do it the right way. Glynda and Don loved traveling.  Their adventures took them through all four corners of the United States along with some foreign countries.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Davenport; son, Ross Davenport; daughter, Sharon Rodden and grandson, Steven Johnson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Terry (David) Hudkins and Tracy (Michael) Batts; daughter-in-law, Paula Davenport; brother, Henry Glenn Gateley (Shirley); twelve grandchildren, Jason Chambers, David Hudkins, Matthew Chambers, Christopher Davenport, Ashley McFadden, Sarah Whitmarsh, Kenny Isom, Lindsey Davenport, Jeremy Davenport, Glenn Davenport, Celestial Davenport; fifteen great-grandchildren and her cat, Precious.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816. Donations in memory of Glynda can be made to the Cabot animal shelter or a charity of your choice.
