Harry William "Bill" Sahlin of Auburndale, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at the age of 78.  Bill was born April 10, 1942 at home in Atchison County, Tarkio, Missouri where he grew up as one of ten siblings.

Bill served as an aircraft mechanic in the United States Air Force.  He enjoyed working on planes well into his golden years.  He loved to tinker in his shop, enjoyed learning how to use his laptop to listen to meaningful music, research everything you can think of and keep up with current events.  He always gave freely of his time and resources to help those in need.  Bill was a happy-go-lucky, kind and considerate man.  He always remembered a prayer of thanks before having a meal.  He loved having a "buddy" to hang out.  He leaves with us precious memories and a legacy of service to God, Country, Family and Friends.  He touched so many lives and is already terribly missed.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Herbert (90) and mother, Edith (80); two sisters, Elma and Becky, as well as four brothers, Charles, Sonny, Albert and Rob.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Ada; three sisters, Edie, Harriett and Alica; two daughters, Donna Elizabeth Sahlin of Little Rock, Arkansas and Carole Sahlin Whitted-Ridgeway (Bill) of Cabot, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Julie Woods of Maumelle, Arkansas; one grandson, Joseph Whitted of Little Rock, Arkansas and two great-grandsons, Jordan and Jonah Woods.  He was a beloved husband, brother, brother-in-law, father, stepfather, a very dear "Uncle Bill" and a wonderful friend.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home in Cabot, Arkansas.  Interment will be at a later date at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
