Helen "Cathie" Catherine Maben, 81, of Cabot passed away November 11, 2023. She was born January 2, 1942 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Dave Moxley Maben, Sr. and Jimmie Laura (Langtson) Maben.

Cathie was a loving, generous woman that will be missed by all. Her great sense of humor, quirky yet shy personality made her a favorite amongst family and the nursing home staff. Cathie was a lifelong artist, from crocheting, knitting, quilting, to painting landscapes and abstract designs. Whatever the craft she chose, Cathie found joy in working with her hands. She loved to gift her creations to family, her last being a king-size crocheted afghan for her granddaughter that she dedicated nine months to making. Cathie also enjoyed keeping her mind sharp with cross word puzzles and word searches. In Cathie's younger years, she was secretary of a Methodist church and sang in the church choir. She worked for her son, Randy, at Collector's Paradise for over twenty years after. Although she was a homebody, Cathie touched the lives of many. She valued family over everything and always made it a point to continue Christmas traditions that she started during her sons' childhood.

Those left to cherish the memories of Cathie include her sons, Randy (Michelle) and Cory (Heather) Tusha; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Martha (Bryan) Bishop and Dave (Denise) Maben Jr.; and lifelong friend, Elaine Nave.

Cathie's family will host a private memorial service at a later date. Cremation arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, (501) 843-5816.
