Herbert "Leon" Harrison, Sr., 78, of Cabot, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023.  He was born January 7, 1945 in Magness/Ward to the late Dewey C. Harrison, Sr. and Nancy Melinda Bates Harrison.  "Leon", as known by his family and friends, wouldn't talk until his younger sister started talking.  Until then, he would just point his finger and grunt to get what he wanted.  He started working on a farm with his father and even milked cows on a dairy farm.  Leon also ran a convenience store in Ward for many years.  Then he went to work for Pathfinders as yard maintenance and oversaw other yard maintenance workers until his retirement due to his health.  One of Leon's greatest pleasures was fishing with his son.  If he caught more fish than he needed, he would share with family and friends.  He was the same way with his gardening.  If he picked more than he needed, he would share the extra.  He loved helping people and never wanted to give up.  Leon also enjoyed traveling all over Arkansas.  He would gather his mom and dad up in his car, go pick up some of his nieces and nephews, and just go sightseeing.   In addition to his parents, Leon was preceded in death by his wife, Zelma Darlene Kinnick Harrison; two sisters, Norma lee Harrison Roach and Wanda S. Harrison Ball and two brothers, Dewey C. (D. C.) Harrison, Jr. and Franklin D. Harrison.

Left to cherish his memory and to miss him dearly are his son, Herbert Leon "Lee" Harrison, Jr. of Cabot; two sisters, Eula Mae Harrison Moore of Mountainburg and Linda J. Harrison Cook of Cabot, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 3, 2023 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with inurnment to follow at Apple Hill Cemetery.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
