Isella Poiana
Reed
Jan 31, 1941 — Nov 5, 2024
Isella Reed, a vibrant spirit who embraced life with unparalleled zest, passed away on November 5, 2024. Born in Italy's picturesque region of Friuli, Isella migrated to France before eventually settling in the United States, where she embraced her identity as a true American gypsy, blending diverse cultures with her infectious charm.
Isella's life was a tapestry of rich experiences. Her marriage to Donald Reed was the bedrock of her personal life, where she found joy in the simple act of gardening, nurturing her plants as she did her relationships, with patience and care. Christmas was her favorite time of the year; her home transformed into a festive haven, where the spirit of the season was alive with her laughter and the warmth of her hospitality.
A spunky soul, Isella was known for her compassion and dedication. Her love for children was evident in her creative endeavors; she often organized community events to bring joy to the younger ones. Her artistic flair was not just limited to her garden, but extended into every aspect of her life, from cooking traditional Bolognese dishes to crafting unique ornaments for the holiday season.
Isella was preceded in death by her dedicated husband, Donald Reed, and her son, Danny Whittington. She is survived by an irreplaceable sister, Michelle Kinney and her unique brother, Roberto Poiana; her supportive daughters, Tammy Stoughton [Kevin Stoughton], Donna Prifogle [Don Prifogle] and Angelique Thomas [Wayne Thomas]; her devoted sons, Robert Reed [Cindi Reed] and Richard Reed [Courtney Spudic]. Isella is also survived by her loving grandchildren: Codi Whittington and James Whittington, Leonard Stewart, Cory Missner, Chad Prifogle, Nikki Ward and Roy Prifogle, Heathre Shahan and Cassandra Baggett, Richard (Ricky) Reed, Britney Norris and Arianna Hicks. Her legacy continues through a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who sadly will not have her physical presence, but will enjoy her spirit and the stories of her life.
She is also survived by a wide circle of friends who were touched by her vivacious personality. Her legacy is one of love, creativity, and an indomitable spirit.
A memorial service celebrating Isella's life will be held at Moore's Funeral Home in Cabot, Arkansas on Monday, November 11th, 2024. The viewing will start at 10am and the service will start promptly at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a local children's charity, reflecting Isella's lifelong love for nurturing the young hearts around her. Your family might also consider a day of service at your favorite charity to honor Isella's life, which was well lived.
