James Edward Edmondson, Jr., age 78, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away July 31, 2026. He was born September 25, 1947 in Independence, Missouri to the late James and Wanda Edmondson. After being raised in Independence, he went on to receive his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Missouri. He also served in the United States Army as a member of the Honor Guard in Washington DC until his honorable discharge. After his military service, he began his employment with Remington Arms at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. In 1981, he was transferred to the Remington Arms plant in Lonoke, Arkansas, where he worked as a Quality Control Manager until his retirement after 41 years of dedicated service.

Jim married Linda Wise on August 23, 1969, and they had two daughters. During their almost 57 years of marriage, they enjoyed traveling, taking family trips, and cruising to many different locations. He was also a devoted grandfather to his four grandchildren. Throughout his life, Jim enjoyed scuba diving, golfing, duck hunting, watching movies, reading, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.

He will always be remembered as the most patient, calm, and kind man with a caring and generous heart. He was a remarkable husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed. Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his loving wife, Linda Wise Edmondson; daughters, Joelle (Jason) Donoho and Jennifer (Daniel) Pace; grandchildren, Lane Donoho, Luke Donoho, Lily Pace and Jack Pace

There will be a private family service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
