James Franklin Mayhair, Jr., 71, of Milton, Florida passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022 in Cabot. Mr. Mayhair was born August 12, 1950 in Milton to the late James Franklin, Sr. and Elmedia Brake Mayhair. Mr. Mayhair worked as a chemical engineer supervisor and also a truck driver. He was a loving, caring, generous family man. He loved western movies and the beach, but especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mayhair was preceded in death by his sister, Glenda Fortson and his brothers, Dalton, David and William Herbert Mayhair.

Mr. Mayhair is survived by his sons, Michael Douglas Mayhair (Lisa) and Joey David Mayhair (Brandy), all of Cabot; grandchildren, Tyler Mayhair, Jacob Mayhair, Alex Mayhair, Cole Thomas, Adam Mayhair, Kaitlin Mayhair and McCall Mayhair; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Linda Barnhill (Jerry) of Milton, Florida and Opal Herrscher Vasina (Terry) of Houston, Texas, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
