James Howard Merrell, Jr., 60, of Cabot, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, April 28, 2023. He was born Wednesday, December 19, 1962 in Orange, California to James Howard, Sr. and Sherian Charley Merrell. James was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents, James and Nellie (Peg) Charley; brother, Michael Merrell and nephew, Michael Merrell, Jr.

James is survived by his wife of 35 years, Denise Mantovani Merrell of Cabot, Arkansas; children, Robert Merrell of Cabot, Arkansas, Christopher (Pauline) Merrell of Moscow Mills, Missouri and Nicholas (Kirsten Crossman) Merrell also of Moscow Mills, Missouri; father, James Merrell, Sr.; sibling, David Ford of Warrenton, Missouri; brother-in-law, John (Christine) Mantovani of North Port, Florida; sister-in-law, Brenda Shook of Kimberling City, Missouri; nephews, Dustin Ford-Harrison, Dylan Ford-Harrison; great-nephew, Michael J. Merrell, III and his boxers, Oden, Luna and Rip.
