James "Paul" Taylor, 85, of Cabot, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022.  He was born July 2, 1936 in Dover, Arkansas to the late James Silas and Agnes Opal Talley Taylor.  Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army after which he had a twenty-nine year career in the service department of Arkla Gas Company.  Paul was a firearm enthusiast and enjoyed shooting sports.  He always stayed busy whether it was outside or around the house.  Paul had a great sense of humor and anyone that knew him knew he had stories to tell.  He loved his dog, Buddy.  In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his two sons, Mitchell and Brian Taylor and two sisters, Betty Ellis and Joyce Steiner.

Survivors include his daughters, Trena Ferrell of Malvern and Brenda Taylor of Hot Springs; four grandchildren, Toby Thompson, Leslie Fitzhugh, Michael Paul Stallman and Stephanie Stallman; four great-grandchildren, Colby Fitzhugh, Foster, Max and Oakley Stallman; former spouse, Darlene Taylor; brothers, David and Bob Taylor, as well as many extended family members and friends.
