James Edward Weatherly, 68, of Beebe, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022.  He was born August 29, 1954 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Willis and Darris Middleton Weatherly.  Mr. Weatherly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He later became a craftsman and used his skills as a cabinet maker. Mr. Weatherly was also a musician and began performing at a young age. He was a song writer and a mentor to many local musicians. Mr. Weatherly will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father, Willis Weatherly.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lanette Weatherly; sons, Chris Weatherly, Craig Weatherly and Cody Weatherly (Lindsay), all of Beebe; six grandchildren, Taylor Weatherly Nehring, Madison Fuller, Christian Weatherly, Makena Weatherly, Daisy Grace Weatherly and Autumn Rose Weatherly; five great-grandchildren, Mia Page Weatherly, Amiarah Jade Fuller, Alayah Reign Fuller, Kingston Weatherly and Avery Weatherly; mother, Darris Middleton Cates; sister, Phyllis Dawson; brother, Matthew Weatherly Oldham, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2022 at Sixteenth Section United Methodist Church. Cremation arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
