Janet Corrine Howell Richardson, age 83, of Ward, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 12, 2026. She was born April 20, 1942, in the Sylvania community near Cabot, Arkansas, to the late Ellis Edgar Howell and Jennnalea Ross Howell. Janet graduated from Cabot High School and Draughon's Business School. She began her career with National Old Line Insurance Company before marrying James Wallace Patterson Richardson in 1963.

Janet and James shared 56 years of marriage before his passing. During their early years together, the couple lived in Iceland while James served in the United States Air Force before eventually returning to Arkansas. Janet spent much of her life working alongside her husband in his CPA business in Cabot and enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and abroad.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James Wallace Patterson Richardson. She is survived by her two sisters, Doris Faye Howell and Kathy Ann Howell, as well as her beloved beagle, Buddy.

Janet was lovingly cared for during the last six years by Tracy Norman, who was faithfully by her side as both a caregiver and dear friend. Janet's life was a blessing, and her memory will be treasured always.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Sylvania Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be Monday, March 16, 2026 from 5:00-7:00p.m. at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816. Memorials may be made to the organization that rescued "Buddy",
