Jeffrey Allen Norton, 62, of Mount Vernon, entered the gates of heaven on Friday, October 6, 2023. He was born June 2, 1961 in Searcy to the late Marion Alfred and Marcella Louise Forsythe Norton. Jeff spent many years working on various farms, at the Beebe Sale Barn and was a longtime volunteer firefighter on the Ward and El Paso Volunteer Fire Departments. He was a devoted member of the CrossRoads Cowboy Church, where he attended the very first service that was held under the shade tree, before the construction began.  In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Norton.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Johnnie Norton, Kathy Krebes, Karla Ramsey and Karen Bridges (Wesley); loving caregivers that were family to him, Clay and Becca Clark and his best buddy, Colt River Clark, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
