Jerry Don Elizandro, 73, of Lonoke, died January 16, 2023.  He was born December 14, 1949 in Hamburg, Arkansas to the late David and Katherine Martin Elizandro.  Jerry was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from United Parcel Service (UPS).  Jerry started his career at UPS in 1974, working his way up to district manager, he devoted his life to the company.  He made many life-long friends whom he cherished dearly.  Jerry retired from UPS in 1999, but his love for work could not keep him down.  Jerry was a long-time resident of Mt. Ida, Arkansas and began his second career in 2007 with the Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management.  Jerry's career with Montgomery County came to an end in February 2022 when he was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, winning his fight on January 16, 2023, when he was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Jeremiah Montoya Elizandro.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Tess and her husband, Mark Looney of Beebe and Trina Garringer of Lonoke; brothers, David, Willie, Richard and John Elizandro; sister, Peggy Guziewich and four grandchildren.  Jerry will be remembered for his love of his family, spending time on the lake, or at Mountain Harbor, and being surrounded by his friends.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 23, 2023 at Central Baptist Church in Hot Springs with Brother David Mitchell and Father Paul Jared McCambridge officiating.  Entombment will follow the service at Crestview Memorial Park in Hot Springs.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
