John Wayne Lewellen, 82, of Cabot, passed away Monday, April 20, 2020.  He was born December 12, 1937 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Ezra John and Lear Inez Singleton Lewellen.  John proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring after twenty-six years as a Senior Master Sergeant.  After his military career, he worked for the United States Postal Service for thirteen years.  John was of the Baptist faith.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan M. Lewellen; son, Danny Lynn Lewellen and sisters, Anita Traweek and Patricia Ann Tripping.

Survivors include his son, Steven Wayne Lewellen; stepson, Michael James Goldsworthy; stepdaughter, Kim Denise Goldsworthy; granddaughter, Jayme Elizabeth Welfel (Beau); great-grandsons, Elliott Townsend Hayes and Graham Miles Welfel; sister, Freida Mathis; sister-in-law, Thelma Lou Sellers and brother-in-law, Gene Townsend Harrison.
