John Lyda of Cabot passed away at the age of 69, on Sunday, August 9, 2026. He was born in Pennsylvania to the late John and Bonnie Lyda. He was a member of the Mt. Tabor Methodist Church. He served over 20 years in the Air Force. John enjoyed gardening, volleyball, golf and reading.

He is survived by his loving wife, Thipawan and daughters, Jennifer and Victoria; grandchildren Darrian, Zara, Ella, and Edmund; siblings Larry, Lori, Lisa, Tina and Mindy, as well as many extended family members and friends.
