John Ralph Yarbrough, 80, of Cabot, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020.  He was born October 5, 1939 in Murray, Kentucky to the late James Ralph and Anna Frances (Shafer) Yarbrough.  John spent his career working for Illinois Central Gulf, Amtrak and then finally retiring from Union Pacific as a boilermaker after thirty years.  He was an avid golfer and baseball fan.  John enjoyed traveling and was an active church member.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, James Thomas Yarbrough.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patricia Miles Yarbrough; daughter, Della Cathey; granddaughter, Cassidy Cathey; great-grandchildren, Serenity Cathey and Dustin Hawkins and sister, Anita Knox.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Mount Tabor United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeff Warrick officiating.  Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cabot.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
