Joyce Mae Cook, 86, of Cabot, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020. She was born June 27, 1934 in Bowdle, South Dakota to the late William Peter and Lenora Mae Ring Murray. She was a member of Country Chapel, a strong Christian and an amazing woman of faith. She worked as the cafeteria manager of the Cabot School District for 21 years, a career that began many lifelong friendships. Mrs. Cook was a devoted wife and mother beyond belief. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edward Cook; son, Peter Steven Cook; brothers, Dale M. Murray, Donald C. Murray and Kenneth W. Murray.

Mrs. Cook is survived by her children, David Paul Cook (Bonita), Rose Ann Cook Twedt (Bruce) and daughter-in-law, Cathy Fletcher; grandchildren, Jennifer Dawn Cook Newman (Travis) and Shawna Dunlap (Mike); great grandchildren, Blakeley Newman, Gavin Dunlap and Gabriel Dunlap; sisters, Shirley A. Lee and Janice L. Ritter as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to count.

Memorial gifts may be made in Joyce's name to the charity of the giver's choice, but Joyce's favorites were St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Gideon's International.
