Obituary

Karen Norine Morehead, 87, of Cabot, was greeted in Heaven by her dear Savior on Friday, January 20, 2023.  She was born August 6, 1935 in Warren, Michigan to the late Milton and Florence (Bredow) Bell.  Karen worked as a legal secretary for twenty years.  Even while working, she was still the best wife to her husband, Richard, and best mom to her three children, Kurt, Eric and Kristyn.  Most of her life she sang in church choirs and served in several church ministries.  Karen enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, whether at home or with her "puzzle buddies".  She was also the family historian and had gathered priceless information to be passed down to family members.  Karen was an avid fan of TV detective shows and she loved strawberries.  She was a devoted Christian and loved her Savior, her family and her church family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Richard Clarence Morehead; brother, Kenny Bell and sisters-in-law, Joan and Judi Bell.

Left to cherish her memory and to miss her dearly are her three children, Kurt Morehead (Joan), Eric Morehead (Maureen) and Kristyn Hutson (Rich); six grandchildren, Ryan Prince (Balie), Nikki Melancon, Aaron Morehead, Madeline Morehead, Jenna Morehead and Olivia Hutson; five great-grandchildren, Kodie Melancon, Kylie Melancon, Jackson Melancon, Jarret Melancon and Ewan Prince; brother, Alan Bell, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Briarwood Baptist Church in Cabot.  The family suggests donations in memory of Karen Morehead be made to Briarwood Baptist Church, 1872 Willie Ray Dr., Cabot, AR  72023.  Inurnment will be at a later date with her loving husband at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.

II Timothy 4:7-8

7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge,

shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.
