Katholyn "Jean" Ables, 76, of Cabot, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021. She was born December 18, 1944 in Van Buren, Arkansas to the late Chester A and Wilma Steinsiek. Jean was a special person. She made friends wherever she went. She was colorful, fun and creative. She loved and cared for many animals.  Jean was an aunt to several nieces and nephews and a great aunt also. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donnie and sister, Donna.

Survivors include her daughter, Katholyn (Jason) Palculict; sons, William (Jamie) Ables and Michael (Patty) Braswell and grandchildren, (William) McKinley and Jackson Ables.   She is also survived by other extended family members and so many friends and loved ones that have been lucky enough to know her.

It was Jean's wish that there not be a funeral. Instead, she preferred cremation and her ashes spread at her family's homestead in Alma, Arkansas.  Anyone wanting to honor Jean may do so by donating to the American Heart Association at 1-800-AHA-USA1 or your nearest no kill animal shelter.  Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
